2 August 2017

This year a number of the existing committee are leaving and/or standing down, so it’s now time that we all consider what we can offer to support the club on it’s continued journey. The club is in a great position, well funded with many exciting projects underway and planned, so now is a great time to get on board.

The quote “Together Everyone Achieves More” is never truer than in a club environment, so even if it’s only an hour or so here and there that you can spare, put your hand up as every little bit helps spread the load.

All positions will be declared vacant at our AGM and we would encourage you to get involved.

If you would like to know more about the roles that are available, click on the overview document below, or if would like to express interest in volunteering, please speak to one of the current committee or complete an enquiry form via the following link: Committee EOI / Information

Quality Club - Accreditation Certificates-Logo

The Frankston Dolphins JFC has attained AFL Quality Club accreditation.

The concept of the AFL Quality Club Program has been developed in the interests of assisting football clubs to achieve standards of excellence in club operations and administration that demonstrate best practices in their local community. The process requires clubs to meet minimum standards of excellence across a range of areas, including codes of conduct, levels of certification and education for specialised positions and behavioural policies for club members, all with a view to creating better club environments.

Creating a quality environment is of enormous benefit to football clubs as a whole and all of its members. Some of the benefits of being involved with this program include:

• Providing an atmosphere that will help to attract new participants, officials and members (& retain those we already have);
• Providing an environment that will be attractive to sponsors and help our club promote itself amongst the community and particularly to our local Council;
• Minimising many risks associated with running a sporting club;
• Creating a best practice guide for our current Committee and all future Committees; and
• Participating in a sport that can continue to promote itself as a leading sport where quality is valued highly.

Ultimately, the benefit of being involved in this program is to create a better club!

This is a significant achievement for the Club and is the culmination of many hours work by all Committee Members over the past year in particular.

April 2016:

And it’s official, we now have a fourth under 9 team again this year! FDJFC now have a record 17 teams at the club–2 girls teams, 4 U9 teams, an U17 team and to top it off we have 2 female coaches. What an awesome club…. What a great article about our club too… The Frankston Boys & Girls are happy.
